Q: How long does it take to get to Auckland Airport from Flypark?
A: 7-8 minutes on average by our FREE shuttle.. Flypark drives along the same motorway you drive to your terminal and drops you off at the front door for international; or a short 1-2 minute walk to domestic check-in.
Q: How long before our flight departs do we need to arrive at Flypark?
A: Airlines require you to check in 30 minutes for domestic departure times and 1 hr 30 minutes prior to International departure times. Please allow an absolute minimum time of arriving at Flypark of 1 hour 15 minutes for domestic and 2 hours for International departures. For long weekends and special days we suggest you allow a little longer for traffic congestion.
Q: Are you open at 3:45am for us to catch our flight at 6:00am?
A: This depends on the time you booked your arrival time. We operate 24/7. If you have booked for arrival at Flypark at our suggested time of 4 am for a 6 am international flight (ample time for check-in) we will be open circa 3.45 am. If you arrive very early we may have our gates locked for security reasons. Don't panic, we know you are due. If you arrive very very early say 3 am and we don't answer our 0800 number please don't panic. We are here -probably having breakfast!!. Try again at 3.30 am.
Q: How can we pay? American Express, Visa, cash or cheque?
A: Please pay on arrival. We do not accept American Express. We ask you not to offer cash as this is a security and health and safety issue. You can pay online if you wish. Our account number is 01-0215-0102207-00 - please use your car reg as your reference. We will see this on our bank statement and note your account as paid. Thank you.
Q: Our flight returns at 11:30pm, and we will clear customs around midnight. Will somebody be available to pick us up?
A: Yes, you will be given a business card with a phone number on it. You are required to ring this number after you have picked up your baggage. If the customs queue is long please use common sense and call our 800 number when you estimate you are about 5 minutes from the customs officer. If you have food to declare please wait till you have cleared customs. Please use common sense. We take about 7 minutes to get there depending on traffic. We are open 24/7 and we track evening flights so are aware if you are delayed.
Q: Where are we picked up from at the international terminal?
A: Go to door 11 which is beside McDonald's turn right and wait at the footpath for our free shuttle.
Q: Where are we picked up from at the domestic terminal?
A: All domestic pickups and drop offs are at the Jetstar exits. Please walk to the tower area where you will see the designated shuttles area. This is where we dropped you off. Please make sure you get in our van. First time users can get confused with Park n Fly vans.
Q: I drop my car off at 11am and return the next day at 10am. Why am I charged for 2 days when this is less than 24hours time?
A: Our billing cycle goes from Midnight to Midnight being a 24 hour period. Each day or part day is counted as a day therefore this is a 2 day parking fee.
Q: Your booking form has a picture of a car and asks us to complete a scratch and dent report. Why?
A:We are a professional car storage business and pride ourselves in our fastidious care of your vehicle. The scratch and dent report is for your peace of mind when you leave your car indoors with us. You may choose to complete it or not. We take the utmost of care with your vehicle but accept no responsibility. Insurance as with all car parks is your responsibility.
Q: Do you drive our vehicle on the roads without our knowledge or consent?
A: We do not drive your vehicle anywhere un-necessarily. If you request us to pick you up or drop you off in your own vehicle then we can do this. If you request us to refuel your vehicle or obtain a WOF then we can also do this. We will only move your vehicle in an emergency.
Q: Can you get my WOF, windscreen, battery etc done while I am away and if so, how much?
A: We are happy to do these things for you and will charge you only the cost incurred plus $15.00 per item as a service fee to cover staffing, phone calls, processing etc.
Q: I have been charged a minimum charge of $25.00 for only one day. Why?
A: Our current minimum is $25 which is very competitive and much cheaper than 1 day at the airport. Also we can deliver you to the airport terminal more efficiently. Flypark drives you along the same motorway you would drive and drops you off at the front door for international. For domestic we drop you off at Jetstar which is a short 1-2 minute to check-in.
Q: My vehicle is in long term storage with you but my relative is flying in to Auckland and would like to use the vehicle. I might also return and need it temporarily. Is this possible and is there a fee involved?
A: The discounted rate for long term storage does not include multiple transfers for use of the shuttle and the processing cost of making your car available at interim periods in the storage cycle. We are happy to assist in making the vehicle available for you and charge $10.00 additional to cover the extra shuttle service and processing of your vehicle. Please give us at least 24 hours notice in writing if this service is required.
Q: I would like my vehicle(s) washed/valet/hand-polished, what is the cost please?
A: The cost of an external carwash is $25.00 which includes water-blasting, soap, tyre shine. The cost of a valet for a small car is $110 but this is subject to change. All these services must be booked in, if you arrive without a booking, we cannot guarantee to be able to assist in the timeframe you require.
Q: Can we book our car in with you if we are going on a boat cruise or any other event that does not involve going to the airport?
A: Certainly. Cruise areas are very busy and pickup is very time consuming as traffic congestion is high. We can pick you up from the port but we require you to drop us back to our base. Our cruise terminal pickup fee is $60. Drop off to terminal $40. We believe Uber is probably cheaper.
Q: How is the cost of storage calculated?
A: Our billing cycle runs from midnight (12.01 am) to midnight (12.00 am) per calendar day. We do not charge half days. For refunds, if your vehicle is removed early then the credit amount (less a $25.00 early return fee) will be refunded to you based on the rate of days your vehicle has been stored with us.
Q: How do I change my booking?
A: If you are using our app this is very easy. Click the top left hand index (3 horizontal lines) and click BOOKING MANAGER. Just make changes as required. If you have any difficulty you are welcome to email us and we will update for you but our app is very easy and quicker. This can be also done on our website and you will be asked your email and car reg number to get access to your booking. Please try to update so we receive 24 hours notice. Our daily reports are printed at 1.00 am for departure and arrival information.
Q: Can you show me where you are located on a map so that it is easy for me to find you?
A: We are located at 52 Ascot Rd, Airport Oaks, Mangere. Auckland Airport Take Exit 9 to Airport (do not take exit 3 if coming from the south). After about 700 metres you will see Kirkbride Rd Exit 2. Take exit 2 to end then turn right. Go straight through the next set of lights onto Ascot Rd (Holiday Inn on your left- do not go let). We are about 200 metres on our left at our sign. Go to the end and turn right to our office area. We suggest you use Maps or Maze app to help. This is a great app and if you are older and do not know about this ask your grandkids. They will teach you in minutes and you will never regret it.
Q: Can we book our hired Campervan ?
A: Yes please do. When booking use Domestic Airport; enter NA in the Flight number details and for City to and from please enter Campervan. We recommend you pick up your campervan first and then bring it to our yard to load it and unload it. Thanks for using Flypark.
